Ikki and his Kogarasumaru and his F-class Air Trecks team continue their battle against the D-class Behemoth team in this monumental parts war battle.
In the main event, Ikki and Agito are taking on Akira Udou, the leader of Behemoth. And as the chapter opens, Akira has unleashed the full power of the Fang Regalia, of which he is in control of.
And with the first demonstration of the fang power, Ikki finds he is in awe. But as he’s transfixed with the raw power of the fang, he fails to notice that Akira has trapped him and Agito in a cage, unable to fly free.
As the battle heats up, a flashback is set up that delves into Agito and his story. Agito, it seems, knows Akira far more than any of the other Kogarasumaru members. And his history with Akira is troubled and murky. In fact, the back story of these two characters leading up to this fight demonstrates exactly why they are fighting each other, which provides for some interesting storytelling.
After the lengthy back story, the fighting pace picks up. Agito calls on Akito to help in the desperate times, just as Ikki tries to find his way to Wing Road.
The battle ends murkily. And that’s when the party is broken up by some uninvited guests. It’s at this moment that, despite being heavily fatigued, Akira takes on the party crashers, for the good of all Treck riders.
The action in this volume could be the peak of the series thus far, and with the addition of the background of a couple of key characters in this volume, it pushes the story to nearly the Wing Road. But, undoubtedly, there is still room to improve.
